The mission of the School Health Program is to enhance education by maximizing the health and well being of youth in the District’s public schools.
Program Description
The Department of Health provides school nursing services in the District of Columbia public and charter schools. The Child, Adolescent and School Health Bureau offers oversight for the program which services more than 65,000 students and is currently operated by Children’s National Medical Center.
