Program Description
The Sexual Assault Follow-Up Program provides:
- Single and multiple sexual assault prevention sessions to pre-school, elementary, middle, junior, and senior high school students.
- Workshops for parents, teachers, childcare, and other professionals who provide services to youth, for the purpose of supplying information about signs of child sexual abuse, how to appropriately handle disclosures, legal responsibilities of mandated reporting, and relevant community resources.
- Workshops for the general public, which include risk reduction and self defense presentations.
- Media and bus poster campaigns to increase public awareness of sexual violence.
- Sexual assault prevention and intervention outreach/education to colleges and universities in Washington, DC.
