DC Obesity Action Plan Stakeholder Meeting
The DC Department of Health Community Health Administration has convened a District of Columbia Obesity Prevention and Reduction Work Group with representatives from a cross-section of District agencies and community organizations. The Work Group’s first citywide charge is to create a DC Obesity Action Plan, scheduled for completion in October 2009.
A subcommittee for worksite wellness has been established to identify potential barriers, create short and long-term goals and provide support to District employers seeking to address chronic diseases among their workforce. Employers across the nation are recognizing the benefits of investing in worksite wellness programs focusing on the prevention and control of chronic diseases. We welcome your participation at our first DC Obesity Action Plan Worksite Wellness Stakeholder meeting.
