- Office of Planning (OP) (January 2013 – April 2013) At OP, I had the pleasure of working on Sustainable DC, the Mayor's comprehensive plan to make Washington, D.C. the greenest, healthiest, and most livable city in the nation in 20 years. The plan is an interagency collaboration led by OP and the District Department of the Environment (DDOE). In addition to working on the plan’s implementation and community outreach, I served as the primary liaison for the Sustainable DC Organizers program, leading a group of 12 community residents to advocate and communicate the plan at events and neighborhood meetings throughout the city. I also spent time working in the Neighborhood Planning Division on the preliminary stages of the "Mid-City East" Small Area Plan (SAP) in Ward 5, encompassing the neighborhoods of Eckington, Bloomingdale, and Truxton Circle. I helped formulate initial frameworks for online outreach, community engagement, and early implementation projects.
