The EMS Division of the Department of Health issued the first ever report on the state of Emergency Medical Services in the District of Columbia in 2010 [PDF]. The report provides an overview of EMS in the District of Columbia, including topics such as incident summaries, provider certifications, educational institutions, the District trauma system, legislative efforts, regulatory process and EMS policies.
The report is created using information provided by the various EMS organizations in the District through their annual reports that are submitted to the Department of Health.
