EMS Annual Reports
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division of the Department of Health issued the first ever report on the state of Emergency Medical Services in the District of Columbia in 2010. The report provides an overview of EMS in the District of Columbia, including topics such as incident summaries, provider certifications, educational institutions, the District trauma system, legislative efforts, regulatory process and EMS policies.
The latest annual report is for 2012. This report includes expanded coverage of the types of incidents that our EMS Agencies have responded on in the past year. Also included is a report from the District's EMS for Children program and the Mayor's EMS Advisory Council (EMSAC).
These reports are created using information provided by the various EMS organizations in the District through their annual reports that are submitted to the Department of Health.
