Music on the Mall
From May 28 - August 29, 2013, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, in conjunction with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's Art in Transit Program and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, will host Music on the Mall.
Music on the Mall will feature lunchtime performances by District of Columbia musicians and spoken word artists on the National Mall each Tuesday beginning May 28 - August 29, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at 7th and Jefferson Drive.
Akoma Drummers - July 2, 2013 (West African percussion, dance and vocals)
Margot MacDonald – July 9,2013 (Indie pop acapella variety)
Joy Maye Acoustic - July 16, 2013 (Original acoustic performance and classic rock)
Nistha Raj – July 23, 2013 (Traditional North Indian Classical mixed with Beatboxing and Post Classical Cello)
Don Kim – July 30, 2013 (DC based Ukulele playing Singer-songwriter)
Alvin Tan – August 6, 2013 (Songwriter and singer of original songs and cover songs while playing the acoustic guitar)
Mary Allouette – August 13, 2013 (Gypsy Jazz)
Reverb – August 20, 2013 (cappella vocal R&B, pop and Gospel group)
Sparkle DC – August 27, 2013 (Family friendly poetry celebrating Washington, DC, Gender and Racial Diversity with Bass)
