The WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) was established in July 1992 by Public Law 102-314.  The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 reauthorized the FMNP through fiscal year 2015 with an annual funding level of $20 million. During the 2010 market season, the FMNP served over 2.15 million recipients in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
