Measles: Questions and Answers
Information about the disease and vaccines
Informing partners of exposure to Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) infection is a critical component in interrupting the disease cycle and transmission and often creates anxiety for the person disclosing their diagnosis. ISIS Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing and using Internet technologies to prevent disease transmission and enhance the sexual well-being of individuals and communities, has created an option to address this challenge. Utilizing the electronic greeting card option persons can send an anonymous card informing their partners of exposure to the infection along with information on where to obtain testing services.
Partner services are still available through the DC Department of Health STD Control Program. For more information on those services call the program at (202) 727-9860.
